The Fern Pit Cafe

Offering arguably the finest views in Newquay!

The cafe is on East Pentire Headland (Newquay side of the beach)

Offering arguably the finest views in Newquay over Crantock beach and the River Gannel.

The ‘Fern Pit’ was built in the late 19th Century and has served as a tea garden for over 90 years.

Serving fresh crab sandwiches using crab caught and landed by our very own fishing boat Excelsior.

The best cafe in Newquay. Absolutely stunning location, lovely friendly staff, and the best crab sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Everyone simply must go there.

“Relax in the tea garden with a hot drink and a piece of homemade cake or a cream tea.”
