The cafe is on East Pentire Headland (Newquay side of the beach) offering arguably the finest views in Newquay over Crantock beach and the River Gannel. The 'Fern Pit' was built in the late 19th Century and has served as a tea garden for over 90 years.

One of the views from the cafe's tea garden

Open from 10am until 6pm everyday from the end of May to mid September the cafe offers various light refreshments. We serve sandwhiches and salads with crab our specialty caught by our own fishing boat Zarvan in the waters around Newquay. Relax in the tea garden with a hot drink and a piece of homemade cake or a cream tea. Also available are cold drinks, milkshakes, ice cream, chocolate, biscuits & crisps. All food is available to take away so you could enjoy it on the beach or the headland.
